This position is within a manufacturing environment with moderate to high physical activity including routine lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods of time
Basic Job Information:

Essential Functions/Duties:
- Perform the set-up, operation and adjustments of Cold Heading Machinery to produce formed products according to customer dimensional print specifications. Equipment includes Cold Headers, wire drawers, and inspection equipment.
- Run jobs/work orders as instructed and within the setup and run rates outlined on each job ticket.
- Monitor part dimensions and part quality using assigned measurement tools and gauges, and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain part quality within customer tolerance specifications
- Keep machines oiled and greased and perform basic preventive maintenance.
- Complete and submit required daily production reporting forms at the completion of each job.
- Inspect the required number of parts and record the readings in accordance with standard instructions and procedures.
- Work safely.
- Performs daily housekeeping and other miscellaneous functions as assigned by manager.
Required Competencies:
- Basic reading/writing skills that enable the candidate to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Basic understanding of mathematical concepts including fractions and decimals.
- Mechanical ability and knowledge of tools and machinery.
- Knowledge and ability to effectively use measuring devices, blueprints, and drawings.
- Ability to lift/pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a machine operator. Candidates with Cold Header experience will be given priority.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
