The Role
Handshake Services is expanding across the Prairies and is hiring a Skilled Labourer based out of Red Deer, Alberta to support field operations.
This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to develop into a trade or leadership position over time.
What You’ll Do
- Support mechanical installation, construction, and maintenance work
- Assist millwrights, foremen, and crews on active job sites
- Help with material handling, setup, and site preparation
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with rigging, lifts, and working around heavy equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and productive job site
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in construction, industrial, or agricultural environments
- Mechanical aptitude or strong interest in learning the trade
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to take direction
- Strong work ethic and team mindset
- Comfortable working at heights and putting in long hours when required
This role is suited for someone who wants to learn, develop skills, and build a long-term career in the trades.
Required Background
Candidates must have prior experience in construction, industrial, or agricultural work environments.
This is not an entry-level position for candidates with no relevant experience.
Travel
- Primary focus is Red Deer and surrounding areas
- Some travel across Saskatchewan/Manitoba as needed
Compensation
- $26-36/hour (based on experience)
