Residential Cleaning Subcontractors Wanted – Immediate Openings
Soap & Suds is currently seeking reliable Residential Cleaning Subcontractors in Napanee, Ontario and surrounding areas.
This is an independent subcontractor position, not an employee/employer relationship. Contractors work under an ongoing service agreement. The initial contract term is 12 months and may continue beyond that based on performance and mutual agreement.
Compensation Structure
- Initial Orientation & Shadowing Period: $18.00 per hour
- Contractors participate in an initial paid orientation and shadowing period to become familiar with Soap & Suds client expectations, service standards, safety procedures, documentation requirements, and branded cleaning practices. The duration of the orientation period varies based on experience, demonstrated competency, and contractor readiness.
- Active Service Rate: Service rates begin at the equivalent of approximately $24.00 per hour based on completed work assignments and agreed contract pricing. Once the orientation and shadowing period has been completed, contractors may independently accept and perform service assignments.
- Advanced Contractor Rates: Up to the equivalent of $33.00 per hour
- Higher service rates may be negotiated through periodic contract reviews based on factors including reliability, quality of work, client retention, availability, efficiency, specialized services provided, and overall business relationship performance.
- Compensation is based on contracted service assignments rather than employee wages. Contractors are responsible for managing their own business expenses, taxes, insurance, and statutory remittances.
Schedule
- Work is available Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Unless you would like additional outside these hours.
- No evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts unless requested
- Contractors determine their own availability and are free to accept or decline service requests.
- Contractors may provide services to other clients and businesses.
- Contractors are responsible for their own income tax, CPP contributions, insurance, and business expenses.
- Contractors may engage qualified assistants or subcontractors, subject to client service standards and applicable legal requirements.
Location Requirements
Applicants must live in Napanee, Ontario or the surrounding area.
Work is performed at various residential and commercial locations throughout the region.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
- Reliable personal vehicle (required)
- Must be able to travel between client locations

Education & Experience
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent (not required)
- Cleaning experience is an asset but not required
- Training provided (minimum)
Typical Duties
- Dusting furniture and surfaces
- Vacuuming carpets, rugs, and upholstery
- Mopping and steam cleaning floors
- Kitchen and bathroom cleaning and sanitizing
- Making beds and changing linens
- Window, wall, and ceiling cleaning
- Emptying garbage and removing debris
- General residential and commercial cleaning duties

Additional Information
