The Opportunity:
Meech Creek Contracting is looking for an experienced Rubber Tire Backhoe Operator to join our team. This position is available as full time employment with a competitive wage and benefits.
Essential Job Functions
- Work independently
- Excavate and backfill utility trenching
- Backfill and site grading
- Experience working around utilities (gas, electric, telecommunications etc.)
- Efficient use and installation of equipment attachments (breaker, tamper etc.)
- Read and understand site plans, grade slips and locates
- Effective communicate in English both verbally and written
- Conduct equipment and site inspections
- Maintain machine in a clean and operable condition
Minimum Requirements
- 2 -3 years (3000+ hours) operating experience (backhoe experience mandatory)
- Utilities experience required, with Residential and Commercial Construction experience preferred
- Other equipment such as, skidsteer experience an asset
- Valid certification in Ground Disturbance Level II and First Aid
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Equipment Operator Competency Certificate an asset
- Applicants will require own transportation.
