Farm Foreman

We are actively seeking a well-rounded Farm Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player with vision to collectively work toward long-term goals and has a true understanding of our corporate values. This is an individual who brings relevant industry experience and exhibits strong leadership qualities by means of a result driven work ethic. They will consistently help manage farm operations along with quality control activities, while actively working with team members from all levels of the company.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure ongoing maintenance of Nursery Sod fields is completed.
· Lead operations team in smooth daily product processing and delivery.
· Maintain consistent communication with other company departments.
· Ensure quality standard of product is met through best Agricultural practices.
· Hands on execution of equipment operation and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Agricultural environment.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership position.
- A firm understanding of Agricultural best practices.
- A basic knowledge of product and service delivery.
- Experience operating and maintaining heavy farm equipment.
- Adaptable to working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Able to manage and build strong relationships with internal team members.
Education:
- A post-secondary education or equivalent training/experience in Agriculture or Horticulture would be considered an asset.
