Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating skid steers and be comfortable working on active construction sites. This role supports excavation, grading, and general site development.
A valid AZ or Restricted A (AR) driver’s license is required to tow skid steers and equipment between job sites.
Our crew travels frequently during the construction season, and this position requires out-of-town work and overnight stays. The company covers travel expenses and provides a per diem for out-of-town work.
Responsibilities
- Operate skid steers and other equipment such as excavators and graders
- Safely tow skid steers and equipment to and from job sites using truck and trailer
- Perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Assist with road construction and infrastructure projects
- Follow all job site safety procedures and company policies
- Work with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
Requirements
- Experience operating skid steers and similar heavy equipment
- Valid AZ or Restricted A (AR) driver’s license required
- Experience towing equipment with trailers
- Willingness to travel and stay out of town during the construction season
- Strong understanding of construction site safety
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
