Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Convenience Customer Service Assistant to support the daily operations of our Tuck Shop. Under the guidance of the Manager, you will ensure smooth shop functions, deliver outstanding customer support, and contribute to maximizing the shop’s profitability. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys engaging with diverse customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, providing friendly and efficient service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and point-of-sale operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area to ensure an inviting shopping experience
- Provide information about products, store policies, and services in a clear and professional manner
- Support inventory management through data entry, stock replenishment, and record keeping
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional client service
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Previous experience in customer support, sales, or call center roles preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic typing tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience in retail or client services is desirable but not mandatory
