Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and certified Fire Sprinkler Fitter to take on a key role in the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of a wide range of fire protection systems. While the primary focus will be on fire sprinkler systems and fire pumps, this role also involves conducting routine inspections of fire extinguishers, and fire hoses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in strict compliance with all applicable NFPA standards and provincial codes.
In addition to hands-on technical work, you will play a vital role in developing the next generation of talent by mentoring and supervising a registered apprentice, guiding them on safety, technique, and code compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in strict compliance with all applicable NFPA standards and provincial codes.
Requirements
427A required.
Minimum 3 years experience in installation and repairs.
Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), working in confined spaces, and working at heights.
Demonstrable experience with the installation, service, and testing of Fire Sprinkler Systems and Fire Pumps.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
