About the Role
DataWiz College is seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and technically sound Cybersecurity Instructor / Mentor to support students enrolled in our comprehensive Cybersecurity Analyst Program.
Instead of traditional, rigid lecturing, this role is built around on-demand student support. Our students work asynchronously through CompTIA online learning modules and hands-on virtual labs. When they hit a wall, get stuck on a complex networking concept, or face a configuration error in a lab, they need an expert they can turn to for quick, clear guidance.

Key Responsibilities
- On-Demand Technical Support: Act as the go-to technical mentor for students working through CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ curriculum.
- Lab Troubleshooting: Guide students through hands-on virtual lab environments when they encounter technical roadblocks, misconfigurations, or complex steps.
- Concept Clarification: Break down foundational and advanced IT concepts (e.g., subnetting, network protocols, threat vectors, system virtualization) in an accessible, supportive manner.
- Exam Readiness: Offer practical insights, tips, and encouragement to help students confidently prepare for their CompTIA certification exams.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong CompTIA Expertise: Deep, verified familiarity with the core objectives of CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+. Active certifications are highly preferred.
- Hands-on Lab Competency: Comfortable navigating, auditing, and troubleshooting virtual sandboxes, packet tracers, and hardware/software simulation labs.
- Excellent Communicator: Ability to explain "the why" behind a solution rather than just fixing the problem for the student. Great patience with beginners is a must.
- Flexibility: Available to respond to student support requests on an on-demand basis (hours will fluctuate based on student progression and needs).
