Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team. Our focus of work is High-Rise Condo/ Rentals in the downtown Ottawa area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, along with mechanical knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, Maintain, Repair, Quote and Install HVAC systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment. The equipment we typically deal with includes; Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, DHW Heaters, Dry-Coolers, Fans, ERVs, MUAs, Pumps, VFDs, Snow Melt Systems, Ductless-Splits, VRF Systems, Unit and Cabinet Heaters, Heat-Exchangers, Vertical Stacked Heat-Pumps and Fan-Coils, Pool Dehumidification Units, Air Handlers, Electronic Valves/ Actuators, Duct Heaters, and more.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations and repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other technicians on service and construction projects involving HVAC systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system operations and maintenance needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- 313A & G1 or G2
- ODP
- Valid Drivers License with clean record
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communicator (Email, Text, Phone, In-Person)
- Experienced using Client Management Software like Jobber
- Strong with technology (Phones, Computers, Service Tools, BAS Systems, On-Line Forms, Start-Up Forms etc..)
- Experience working on Vertical Heat-Pumps, Hybrid Heat-Pumps, ERVs and Fan Coils typically used in High-Rises
- Proficient in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex schematics
- Familiarity with boiler and chiller systems and their maintenance requirements
- Familiar with high-rise HVAC systems and loops
- Able to prioritize service calls and juggle multiple things at once
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on tasks
