We are currently seeking a talented Analyst or Associate, to join our seniors housing and healthcare team in Toronto. The successful candidate will focus on providing our clients with an in-depth range of valuation and advisory services. POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides objective, impartial and unbiased opinions about the value of real property for a variety of clients and intended users. Performs a range of functions, including comprehensive and detailed market research, report writing and creating complex financial models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the production of valuation reviews on real property.
- Conduct research and analysis to support the preparation of valuation reviews.
- Research and assess property information.
- Building financial models.
- Research benchmark rates of return, including cap rates and discount rates.
- Inspect property and interview market participants.
- Prepare highest and best use land and property studies.
- Confirm the characteristics of different property types and ensure the correct property classification.
- Work as part of a team on client engagements on a portfolio of properties.
- Support the efforts of others in the practice to ensure exceptional service to our clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, preferable in finance, business, economics, mathematics or other quantitative fields.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling and valuation.
- Thorough understanding of financial statements and accounting.
- Strong computer literacy with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Good communications skill both written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment under time constraints.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- A valid driver’s license.
