Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Hair Stylist or Aesthetician to rent a chair at our vibrant salon located in Oakville Bronte & Lakeshore. This opportunity offers flexibility and the chance to build your own clientele within a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is a self started and dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Be your own boss and make your own hours.
Duties
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools to ensure client safety and hygiene
- Engage with clients through friendly communication, understanding their needs, and offering expert advice on hair care and styling options
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive client experiences
- Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education
Experience
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating versatility in cutting, coloring, and styling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards within a salon environment
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a focus on client needs
- Prior experience managing front desk operations or retail sales is a plus but not required; training will be provided for specific salon procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional setting
