Propell is looking for a skilled Painter/Sandblaster to join our Calgary manufacturing team as part of our afternoon shift. (Mon-Thurs; 4@10 hours)
A Propell Painter/Sandblaster is responsible for preparing, blasting and coating surfaces to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring the durability, appearance and performance of finished products through proper surface preparation and industrial coating application.

Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting of metal parts, castings, equipment and structural components to remove rust, scale, excess material, contaminants and other surface imperfections
- Prepare parts and surfaces for blasting and painting by cleaning, masking and inspecting components to ensure proper coating adhesion and finish quality
- Apply industrial coatings, primers and finishes using pressure pot spray systems and associated equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and coating requirements
- Mix and thin coatings to specified ratios and maintain proper spray parameters to achieve requied film thickness and finish quality
- Operate, inspect and maintain paint and blasting equipment, ensuring all tools and consumables are in safe and effective working condition
- Conduct quality inspections of blasted and painted surfaces to verify compliance with company standards, customer specifications and coating requirements
- Monitor and replenish blasting media, paint products and related consumables as required
- Inspect and monitor equipment, materials and personal protective equipment for wear, damage or defects ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating pressure pot spray systems in an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication or coating environment
- Experience with abrasive blasting, surface preparation and industrial coating applications
- Knowledge of coating thickness measurement, paint mixing procedures and quality control standards is considered an asset
- Additional industrial painting certifications, training or related experience would be considered an asset
