JESK Electrical Ltd is seeking an experienced full-time position in bookkeeping, administrative, and HR to join our team. JESK Electric is a well-established and growing electrical company based in Saskatoon.
This role is ideal for an experienced professional who understands the bookkeeping needs of a large contracting business (preferable electrical contractor) and can work with confidence, accuracy, and discretion. Proficient in QuickBooks Online ( Required ) and Knowify (preferred)
Position Overview
The Bookkeeper will manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations and maintain accurate financial records. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while collaborating closely with ownership and senior management
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- GST, PST, Employee Deduction Submission
- Managing payroll, taxes, preparation of T4’s, ROE’s ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
- Handle a large volume of data entry
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning and records management
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Support year-end review and external accountant requests
- Assist with process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information
- HR - Health Benefits, onboarding new employees
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (Required) & Knowify (preferred)
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada to be considered for this position
- Experience in construction or contracting environments is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a construction or trade-based business with multiple active job numbers and project costing is considered a strong asset
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Professional communication skills and reliability
