Sky View Suites · Downtown Toronto · Full-time · On-site to start, hybrid over time
Reports to: COO
Sky View Suites runs a portfolio of furnished suites across downtown Toronto. We're a lean, fast-moving team scaling toward a much larger footprint, and we invest heavily in systems, processes, controls, and AI. We're hiring a Senior Operations Manager to own how the business runs day-to-day and to build a scalable, systems-driven operation.
This is a senior operator's role with real ownership from day one. You'll oversee our cleaning, guest-service, and routine-finance operations — managing the pod leads who run them day to day — carry the P&L and coverage for those functions, and own getting our systems and SOPs adopted, adhered to, and continuously improved.
What you'll own
- Cleaning & QA — own the cleaning function through its pod lead: standards and QA, logistics (linen, keys/fobs, inventory), and improving how it runs.
- Help Desk / Guest Services — own guest and tenant support through its pod lead: response speed and quality, issue resolution, and a consistently strong guest experience.
- Routine financial approvals & the department P&L — payroll, routine spend, and operational sign-offs within a set authority; and carrying the P&L for your functions.
- Coverage & resilience — own the coverage plan and backups so the operation keeps running smoothly when someone's off.
- SOP rollout, adherence & continuous improvement — take our SOPs and systems, get them adopted, keep them adhered to, and keep improving them as the business changes.
- Operational software — own how our operational tools are actually used day-to-day and drive their continuous improvement.
- First call for escalations — be the escalation point so issues resolve at the function level.
Who you are
- 3+ years in a senior operations, GM, or multi-unit operations role, managing people — ideally team or pod leads.
- Credible in the field and in the numbers: comfortable being hands-on on-site, and able to read a P&L or dashboard and ask the right question.
- A strong process and systems mindset — you look for ways to automate, simplify, and cut out redundant steps, you can't stand a process that lives in one person's head, and you're good at getting a team to adopt and follow the ones that matter. Comfort using AI and new tools to work smarter is necessary.
- Financially literate and comfortable owning approvals and a departmental P&L.
- Tech-fluent: comfortable being the power user of operational software and pushing its continuous improvement (you don't need to be a developer).
- High follow-through and calm under pressure — you can take on ambiguous, cross-functional problems and the occasional after-hours escalation and see them through.
- The kind of operator who steps in when needed — hands-on and happy to cover when someone's out.
- Based in or able to commute to downtown Toronto; on-site and in the field to start, with a move toward hybrid as the operation matures.
- Hold a valid driver's license and are comfortable traveling between our downtown buildings.
Compensation
$80–120K, based on experience. + Bonus
What success looks like (first six months)
Escalations resolve at the function; coverage is solid for every critical role; your departments' P&Ls are managed and predictable; and the SOPs and tools are adopted, followed, and improving. The operation runs smoothly.
