The Makeup & Hairstylist Trainer will be responsible for teaching professional-level makeup and hairstyling techniques to students, developing curriculum, conducting hands-on training, and ensuring an engaging, supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach makeup artistry techniques, including bridal, editorial, glamour, and natural looks
- Instruct students on hairstyling techniques such as updos, curls, braids, blowouts, and bridal hair
- Provide demonstrations and hands-on guidance to students of varying skill levels
- Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and practical assessments
- Stay current with trending beauty techniques, products, and industry standards
- Evaluate student progress and give constructive feedback
- Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Ensure all tools, products, and materials are used safely and hygienically
- Support students in building portfolios and preparing for careers in the industry
Qualifications
- Professional experience as a makeup artist and hairstylist (3+ years preferred)
- Prior teaching or training experience is an advantage (but not required)
- Strong knowledge of beauty trends, tools, and product applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse student groups
- Certification in cosmetology or makeup artistry (preferred but optional depending on local requirements)
- Reliable, organized, and passionate about teaching
