Who are we searching for?
We currently have an opening for a full-time Site Supervisor - Days (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) to join our busy and growing team!
Job Duties:
- Submit all daily, weekly and monthly reports to Site Manager
- Ensure that staff are always wearing appropriate PPE
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment for all staff
- Report any and all equipment damages, malfunctions or safety hazards
- Ensure daily housekeeping standards are met
- Ensure that adequate PPE is readily available and supplies are well stocked
- Ensure staff have adequate work during the course of the day
- Ensure that when tasks are assigned they are completed and done correctly
- Other duties as required or assigned
- Organize and implement a daily maintenance schedule
- Keep accurate records of all areas of maintenance
- Maintain outside grounds, seasonally, snow removal, spraying debris removal etc.
- Determine needed supplies and equipment
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor
- Assist in the development and implementation of work instructions and continuous improvement
- Ensure that all equipment is kept in a safe operating manner. Ensure that battery, water and fuel levels are within specified operating guidelines on the following equipment: Forklifts, Floor Scrubber, Electric Pallet Jacks, all pumps and hoses
- Matching BOL to physical shipment.
- Ensuring physical inventory is accurate, performing random audits on inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse by implementing daily housekeeping habits
- Ensure FIFO standards are being used
- Host team meetings
- Assist CSS team as needed
- Key holder responsibilities – Opening up at beginning of shift
Shipping and Receiving:
- Regularly Audit shipping and receiving practices and help identify gaps
- Ensure TDG regulations are followed for all shipments as needed
- Ensure team members are following company policies and procedures for safe loading, offloading and storage per FSM standards
- Read and understand BOL’s
- Train team members on internal WMS and TMS systems
Requirements:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ supervisory experience required with preference given to experience in a warehouse/distribution setting
- Five (5) years counterbalance forklift experience is required
- Crossdocking experience would be considered an asset
- Completion of high school is required
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing situations
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to work in a team environment that is constantly working towards improving its processes and procedures
- Demonstrate good organizational skills
- Strong understanding of TDG

- Must be available for call ins as required

Experience:
- warehouse/industrial supervisory: 3 years (required)
- counterbalance forklift driving: 5 years (required)
- crossdocking: 1 year (preferred)
