Bravocon is engaged on projects across Saskatchewan and Ontario requiring skills with fiber splicing, and aerial cable installation. We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic and telecommunication infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber splicing, network cable infrastructure, and OTR testing. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects involving fiber optics, and network connectivity in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be prepared to operate specialized equipment .
Duties
- Install, Splice and test fiber optic cables in all outside plant applications – aerial, burial and underground, on both newly placed and existing cables.
- Analyze and interpret test results, trouble shoot and correct when needed. Complete reports and file daily reports.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on fiber optic lines
- Work outdoors in various conditions to splice fiber optic telecommunication cables
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet.
- Spurring knowledge would be an asset.
- Any and all other duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives.
Experience
- Prior experience working with fiber optic installation, splicing, or maintenance is a must
- Knowledge of telecommunication and network infrastructure is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to telecommunications.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics related to fiber networks and cabling infrastructure

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
