Magna Mining Inc. is a Sudbury-focused, base metal exploration and development company.
Magna Mining’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.
We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.
The Buyer is responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support Magna Mining’s Sudbury operations.

Procure goods, equipment, consumables, and services in accordance with company policies, operational requirements, and project needs.

Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier quotations to achieve best value in cost, quality, service, and delivery.

Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, and resolve delivery, quality, or service issues.

Create, issue, track, and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system, ensuring accurate coding and documentation.

Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, manage lead times, expedite critical materials, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Collaborate with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and logistics teams to support material availability and operational continuity.

Manage inventory levels to maintain established minimum and maximum stock requirements while preventing stockouts and minimizing excess inventory.

Ensure timely replenishment of critical materials, consumables, and spare parts to support production and maintenance requirements.

Maintain accurate inventory records, stock accuracy, and data integrity within company systems.

Coordinate and oversee inventory cycle counts and physical inventory activities.

Identify and implement opportunities to optimize inventory management, warehouse efficiency, and material availability.

Provide day-to-day direction and support to shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficient material flow and alignment with operational priorities.

Promote warehouse organization, housekeeping standards, and safe material handling practices.

Serve as the primary liaison between procurement, warehouse operations, suppliers, and end users regarding procurement and inventory matters.

Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records, including contracts, purchase orders, approvals, and supporting documentation.

Ensure procurement and inventory practices comply with company policies, ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.

Support internal audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, inventory, and warehouse operations.
Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

Post secondary education in Business or a related field.
Work Experience: Nature & Length

2 or more year of purchasing experience in mining or other heavy industry.
