Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide exceptional support to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with disabilities or dementia. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life through personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and protocols
- Support residents with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation in daily routines and activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and caregiving best practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
- Certification or training in caregiving or health-related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, patient, and respectful of residents’ dignity and privacy
