What You’ll Do
The Management Systems Division (MSD) supports the CNSC's mission by providing regulatory leadership and expertise in quality assurance, quality management and management systems that integrate all aspects of management to assure that requirements for safety are established and applied coherently with other requirements.
The Management Systems Division is looking for you – a passionate individual in the area of Oversight of Management Systems to join their team!
You will have the opportunity to use your expertise to work as part of a team to:
- contribute to or lead the development/maintenance of CNSC’s regulatory framework,
- assess the licensee’s Management System and Quality Management programs to verify compliance with CNSC requirements and expectations,
- lead or participate in Management System and Quality Management program audits and inspections,
- prepare recommendations, reports and other documentation.
- review and analyze licensee events,
- manage smaller-scale projects related to area of specialization,
- represent CNSC at national and international technical/scientific meetings and organizations,
- coach and train junior staff members and external colleagues.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
University degree in science, engineering, management science or equivalent in education and experience
Language Requirements:
English essential
Experience:
- Nuclear domain and/or other high reliability industries
- Development and/or oversight of management systems and /or quality management and quality assurance programs
- Conducting evaluations, e.g. inspections, audits and assessments
- Managing projects
Knowledge of:
- Nuclear or other high reliability industries
- The fundamental principles of Management Systems, Quality Management, Quality Assurance and the application of these principles in the development and implementation of management system and quality management, quality assurance programs and standards
- Inspection, investigation and audit techniques, procedures and practices
- The Canadian Nuclear safety and Control Act and supporting regulations and requirements
- Project management principles and practices
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
