Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with custodial tasks, possess strong time management skills, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities. Prior experience with commercial cleaning, facilities maintenance, or the use of hand and power tools is a plus. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or facility upkeep.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or other machinery safely and effectively.
- Conduct facilities maintenance activities to support the overall upkeep of the premises.
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low.
- Ensure all areas are cleaned according to schedule and quality standards while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work progress or issues encountered.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any specific cleaning requests or concerns from clients or staff.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred; familiarity with facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation is desirable.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
