General Description
Quality Technicians work to ensure quality of process and product. Quality Technicians perform inspections, tests and audits of processes, gauges and product working to prevent non-conformities from reaching customer. This position will actively engage with various cross functional teams to address quality matters, ensure process/product conformity and implement process improvements
Skill/Effort Requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Work effectively within a team setting
- Root cause analysis and corrective action awareness
- Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of measurement instruments
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft word and excel
- Technical understanding of Quality and Manufacturing methods and procedures
- Advance measurement skills including the use of a CMM
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Responsibilities
- Work safely and cooperate with others to ensure the Health and Safety of oneself and others
- Support the manufacturing team with containment, root cause analysis and correction of nonconformities
- Inspect finished product approving for shipment
- Perform calibrations and verification tasks including hardness, sieve, paint and furnace testing
- Validate manufacturing processes and actively participate in continuous improvement
- Complete ISIR, First-Off Inspections, PPAP and FAIs
- Ensure control of monitoring and measurement systems is effective
- Support warranty analysis
- Other duties as assigned
