Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive repair skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle systems, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Previous dealership experience and familiarity with schematics are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues
- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure all repairs meet safety regulations and quality standards
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repair processes
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to move parts or equipment safely
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols
Requirements
- Valid license as a mechanic with appropriate certifications
- Dealership experience preferred but not required; strong automotive repair background essential
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and components
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with maintenance tasks and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
