TIPS Personnel is currently looking for awesome new candidates to join our restoration, demo and cleaning teams in and around Edmonton. Helping after floods, fires, wind damage, hail damage, etc.
Job Description:
Workers will be helping with assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing and replacing damaged materials, and sanitizing the restored homes.
- Assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved.
- Cleaning and storing damaged properties until they can be returned to the home.
- Removing and replacing damaged materials, such as wallboards, lumbar, and carpets.
- Handling any issues caused by water damage, including drying out the area and removing mold.
- Sanitizing structural features that can be saved.
- Answering complaints, explaining job specifications and invoices, and performing other customer service duties.
- Adhering to personal safety standards by wearing the appropriate protective gear and using the right equipment.
Requirements:
- MUST be 18 years or older
- Must be physically fit, able to lift over 50 lbs. repetitively
- Minimum 1 year experience in general labor, cleaning, demo, moving, etc.
- Clean criminal background - background checks will be conducted. IF YOU HAVE ONE DONE IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS PLEASE HAVE THAT READY
- Clean and presentable appearance
- Must have steel toe safety boots
- Should have fit test card and respirator masks
- Can speak, read and write English
Assets:
- Has own vehicle or reliable transportation.
- Able to work some overtime if needed.
- Able to work well with others in a team environment.
- Able to work in environments with different unforeseen conditions (dust, smoke, Molds, mildew, etc.)
- Able/experienced in operating motorized vehicles.
- Physically fit and able to work long hour of repetitive movement (lifting, stairs, climbing, standing, kneeling, etc.)
- Able to work respectfully in other people's homes handling their personal property.
- Has safety tickets: CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, AWP, Confined space, etc.
Wage - $18 to $20 an hour to start
