Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle. This role is essential for supporting construction, mining, or industrial operations that require efficient material handling and transportation. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other construction supplies to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding schedules or issues encountered during transportation.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operation.
- Assist with basic maintenance or minor repairs on trucks as needed, including automotive repairs if qualified.
- Operate additional heavy equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading operations.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks in industrial or construction environments.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for handling materials efficiently.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for routine vehicle maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols diligently.
