Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following established health standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas to prevent cross-contamination
- Assist with organizing and storing clean items in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff
- Support food preparation activities by handling basic cleaning tasks for workstations and surfaces
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely turnover of dishes during busy service periods
- Follow safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and operating dishwashing machinery
- Contribute to overall cleanliness and sanitation efforts within the kitchen environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong understanding of cleaning protocols, food handling safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes is a plus
