Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has experience in Chinese cuisine, works well in a fast-paced environment, and follows food safety and hygiene standards.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all food preparation areas
- Assist with meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by assisting with food prep and other tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage or contamination
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certification
- Previous experience cooking Chinese food preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service best practices
- Experience handling various types of food products and ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of the importance of hygiene, safety, and quality control in the food industry
