We are seeking a skilled Relief Pharmacist for a 3 to 6-month contract in Deer Lake, Newfoundland & Labrador, starting June 1st. This position is perfect for a pharmacist with robust clinical abilities who enjoys a consistent weekday schedule within a collaborative pharmacy setting.
Job Summary
Role: Relief Pharmacist
Location: Deer Lake, NL
Start Date: June 1st
Duration: 3–6 months
System: Kroll
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Compensation: $80- $100/hr
Setting: Community pharmacy
Work Environment
- 100–200 prescriptions filled daily
- Pharmacy Assistants available during shifts
- Efficient workflow with predictable daily volume
- No weekend or statutory holiday work
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions
- Provide patient counseling and clinical services
- Administer injections as required
- Supervise and support OAT (methadone) services
- Collaborate with pharmacy assistants to ensure smooth operations
- Follow provincial regulations and industry standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in Newfoundland & Labrador
- Injection certification (mandatory)
- OAT certification required (essential methadone experience)
- Proficient in Kroll (high comfort level with the system)
- Strong attention to detail and clinical decision-making
- Able to work independently in a structured environment
