Responsibilities
· Perform line clearances between jobs
· Check docket for correct corrugated and quantity to pack into each case
· Using information from the docket and specification sheet produce a label and if correct have the operator verify and initial the label
· Assist crew in setting up corrugate
· Label each case with the proper label
· Manually count the first case to verify that the counter is working accurately
· Insert layers cards and dividers into corrugate
· Pack cartons into cases; quantity in each case is indicated on the docket and specification sheet
· Check the quality of the finished cartons for excess glue, fold defects, color variation, registration, and remove any defective cartons
· Notify Operator of any problems so that necessary adjustments can be made
· Pull required case samples and write the case # on each sample
· Complete all information pertaining to each job on the back of the docket envelope
· Assist in the training of fellow Checker/Trimmer/Handlers
· Maintain and adhere to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties
· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills Required
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional training, experience or certification in print finishing operations preferred
· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
· Good oral and written communications skills
· Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
· High attention to detail
Physical Requirements
· Safely and effectively handle objects weighing between 15-20 pounds on a consistent basis, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.
· Stand for extended periods
· Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
· Sustain physical endurance for fast-pace
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
