Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers opportunities for growth within our warehouse management system and requires a commitment to safety and accuracy.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and dollies to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including inventory management and order picking
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update records, and process orders
- Perform heavy lifting of goods and materials as needed, adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment by picking, and preparing items for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist in order tracking activities as required
- Valid drivers licence
- Experience driving commercial 5T box truck
Qualifications
- Prior experience with warehouse distribution, order picking, or similar roles preferred
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklift equipment required
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurement tasks
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout shifts
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience driving 5T is advantageous
