Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Equipment Operator/Truck Driver/Laborer to join our agricultural team. This multifaceted role involves operating farm machinery, driving trucks, and performing various labor tasks essential to the successful management of our farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate farm equipment such as tractors, harvesters with precision and safety.
- Drive trucks to transport crops, supplies, and equipment between different farm locations.
- Perform general labor tasks including planting, harvesting, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm machinery and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting and harvesting schedules.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials, supplies, or harvested crops safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment storage.
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation.
- Experience or familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and general farm maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong physical stamina capable of heavy lifting and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for truck operation. Class 1 or class 3 drivers preferred.
- Prior experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed. Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
