ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a licensed Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our team on a long-term contract basis at our Pickering location. The successful candidate will work full-time, five days per week, and must hold Ontario Power Generation (OPG) security clearance prior to commencement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide mechanical engineering support for projects and operations at the Pickering facility
- Develop, review, and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct site walkdowns, inspections, and field engineering support as required
- Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in Ontario — Mandatory
- Intermediate-level experience in mechanical engineering (typically 5–8 years)
- OPG security clearance — Mandatory
- Experience in power generation, nuclear, or heavy industrial environments is an asset
- Strong knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards (ASME, CSA, etc.)
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities on-site
