Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, strong craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with construction painting, carpentry, and blueprint reading is highly valued. The Drywall Installer will contribute to the successful completion of projects by ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets according to project specifications and blueprints
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces for a smooth appearance
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections as needed
- Apply caulking around seams and fixtures for a seamless finish
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Coordinate with other trades such as carpenters and painters to facilitate smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure tools and materials are properly stored
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in drywall installation or related construction fields preferred
- Knowledge of construction painting, caulking, and general carpentry skills beneficial
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Handyman experience or general construction experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various project environments
Pay: From $17.85 per hour
