At Abbey's Bakehouse & Sips Refreshers, we're
bringing together handcrafted baking and premium beverages under one roof.
Abbey's Bakehouse began on the shores of Lake Rosseau in
Muskoka, where homemade recipes, quality ingredients, and cottage traditions
inspired everything we bake. From buttery butter tarts and fresh muffins to
cookies, pastries, and specialty coffee, every item is made to create a warm,
memorable experience for our guests.
Alongside Abbey's, Sips Refreshers serves handcrafted
refreshers, lemonades, teas, and specialty beverages that add fun, flavour, and
energy to every visit.
Together, we've created a unique café experience at Square
One, where exceptional baking and handcrafted drinks come together.
We're looking for a passionate Baker who takes pride
in quality, consistency, and craftsmanship. If you enjoy working with fresh
ingredients, creating beautiful baked goods, and being part of a supportive
team, we'd love to meet you.
Your Role
As a Baker, you'll prepare and bake our signature products
while helping maintain the high standards that Abbey's Bakehouse is known for.
You'll work alongside our café team to ensure fresh, delicious products are
available throughout the day, creating an exceptional experience for every
guest. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys baking,
values attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of fresh baked goods throughout the day
Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality
Decorate, finish, and merchandise baked products to Abbey's presentation standards
Monitor product freshness and maintain attractive bakery displays
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and ingredient preparation
Work closely with the café team to keep products stocked during busy periods
Help create a positive, supportive workplace where teamwork and craftsmanship are valued
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a bakery, pastry shop, café, or commercial kitchen
Passion for baking and producing high-quality products
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Food Handler Certification is an asset
Available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
