Intermediate Financial Analyst and Accounting

Our businesses includes commercial real estate ownership and operations, bridge financing, construction lending, and private investments. About the role:
This role goes beyond a traditional finance position, offering exposure to accounting, financial analysis, real estate development, property management, investment analysis, and business planning.
Daily activities:
- Full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for corporations, joint ventures and limited partnerships
- Preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Government and other reporting (ex GST filings)
- Track and analyze project costs
- Assist with asset portfolio management and corporate business planning
- Assist with improvements to internal systems and processes
- Market research, analysis and modeling on new projects
- Visits to various construction sites to review project status
- Visits to company owned properties reviewing tenancies and property conditions
- Provide coverage to other team members who are involved in all of the above

What you bring to the table:
- High level of Integrity and Discretion
- Flexibility / Adaptability – comfortable working independently, enjoy variety to the daily routine and takes ownership of the work
- Proficiency in computer tools (spreadsheets, accounting or database systems)
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- minimum 5+ years of experience in real estate, project accounting or investment environments; this is not suitable to someone starting out (we will place you in a training program but fundamental skills must be in place)
- formal training in accounting and finance is required

Pay: $50,030.54-$98,411.36 per year
