Penny Chess Club is a prestigious chess playground founded by Woman International Master Penny Pham, for everyone who shares a love for this royal game. With expansions we welcome on board more passionate Chess Tutors!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To inspire kids to comprehend the secrets of the world’s most popular intellectual game.
- To follow curriculum to teach lessons for kids with various levels and needs.
- To deliver lessons with the aim of achieving the set goals in cheerful environment.
- To ensure the safety of all kids in the classroom and activities.
- To build enthusiasm among kids in chess and encourage their participation.
- To effectively foster kids to be positive in activities that they are involved.
- To provide feedbacks of each student to parents to ensure fun and engaging learning experiences.
Qualifications:
- Passion and patience for benefiting kids through chess.
- Previous Chess teaching/tutoring experiences is a bonus.
- Possession of knowledge of chess with minimum intermediate level.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to teach both one-on-one class and group class.
- Be available in afternoon on weekdays or/and weekend.
- Be able to pass BC criminal record check.
- Must be fluent in English and second language a bonus.
- First Aid Certification preferred.
- Must have a SIN card and legal working permit.
