Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. This vital role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment across our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing settings and a strong focus on training and development to promote safety awareness among staff. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a culture of safety excellence while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees, including onboarding sessions and ongoing development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, investigations, and training activities.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and ensure preparedness across all departments.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through communication campaigns, meetings, and training sessions focused on manufacturing safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Constraction environment with a strong understanding of industrial safety standards.
- Prior experience in training & development related to health and safety practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety legislation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to analyze safety data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
- Certification in occupational health & safety (such as CSP or OSHA certifications) is preferred but not required.
- A proactive approach with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors across teams.
