Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties
- Prepare and handle food produce according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining high levels of food quality
- Ability to work all stations in the kitchen effectively and safely, including fryers, grills and ovens
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortage to management
- Capacity to work well under pressure, liaising with team members to meet production schedules and timelines for service periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
Expected hours: Full-time no less than 35 hours per week. Part-time to be discussed.

Licence/Certification: Food Handler Certification (is an asset)
