Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, automotive repair, and safe driving practices. The Tow Truck Driver will play a vital role in assisting customers with vehicle recoveries and roadside assistance, contributing to the overall reputation of our company for professionalism and dependability.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to recover and transport vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns, or other locations
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients professionally and courteously during stressful situations
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or towing equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of all towing activities, including logs and reports
- Assist with vehicle repairs or maintenance as needed, utilizing automotive repair skills
- Safely load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts if required
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations to ensure safety for yourself and others
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or towing is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and repairs is highly desirable
- Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to handle interactions professionally under pressure
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required for this position
- Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is advantageous but not essential
- Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions
Pay: $40,444.37-$98,318.77 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brampton, ON
