Summary
'We are seeking a dedicated Steel Yard Material Handler and Saw Operator to join our team in Canada. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient handling of materials and precise operation of saw equipment to support our manufacturing processes and uphold our commitment to excellence.'
Responsibilities
' Safely operate saws and other machinery to cut steel components according to specifications.
- Manage material handling within the yard using cranes and forklifts.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate cutting and assembly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist in other manufacturing tasks as needed.'
- Qualifications
' Proven experience operating saws and material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately.
- Knowledge of welding, machining, or manufacturing processes is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Physical ability to handle materials and operate machinery.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.'
