Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and timely deliveries to support our operations. Candidates with skills in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and commercial driving are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel and asphalt to site
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required for loading or site preparation
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating dump trucks and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform routine vehicle maintenance
- AZ license required
- 3 years experience required
