Job Title: Extrusion Operator, 12-hour continental position

What you will need to do:
- Operate extruders to maximize output while maintaining highest quality
- Clean and maintain equipment and workstation throughout shift
- Perform all necessary preparation to complete the running of an order
- Commit to Safety: Practice all established internal health and safety procedures
- Commit to Quality: Perform quality checks on extruded plastic film produced so that it meets all quality standards
- Commit to Teamwork: Assist other operators to ensure optimum production performance
- Ensure finished rolls are properly packaged according to customer requirements
- Report any equipment failure immediately to the Production Supervisor
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Attend scheduled meetings
- Other duties as assigned
What skills & experience you'll bring to us:
- Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Ability to regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor
- Previous machine operating experience
- Extrusion experience an asset
- Mechanical acumen considered an asset
What's required for the position:
- CSA approved steel toed boots
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Biweekly pay. Overtime after 84 hours in a two-week period.
