Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of outdoor landscapes on properties we own. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with experience working with various gardening tools and techniques. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the aesthetic appeal and health of our gardens and green spaces.
Duties
- Planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants to promote healthy growth
- Using hand tools, power tools, and zero turn mowers for trimming, edging, mowing, and other landscape tasks
- Apply herbicide regularly to minimize the amount of trimming needed
- Water planters and gardens as needed
- Performing landscape maintenance tasks such as mulching, weeding, aerating, and soil preparation
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment or reporting
- Assisting with seasonal clean-up activities including leaf removal and debris clearing
- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
- Adhering to safety protocols while operating tools and working in outdoor environments
Qualifications
- Practical experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is required
- Experience with gas powered trimmers and zero turns is required
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes
- Ability to start and operate power tools including lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers
- An understanding of plant care techniques and landscape design principles would be ideal
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license is required along with your own transportation to get to and between sites

Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
