Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Event Booking Agent to join the K1 Speed STC team. Job Description
As an Event Booking Agent, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, scheduling events, placing food and catering orders, and ensuring that all event details are executed flawlessly. You will be the main point of contact for customers and suppliers, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all involved. You will also be expected to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
- Full-time, permanent position
- Approx. 30-40 hours per week
- Must have open availability, including weekends
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle 100+ inbound and outbound calls per day, selling group packages and event services
- Schedule events on the calendar and coordinate event details with suppliers (food, catering, etc.)
- Execute contracts accurately, ensuring that specific information is relayed to the correct department(s) at each location
- Assess and address customer needs and concerns, providing a top-tier experience
- Follow a sales process using an optimized response system to close deals effectively
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, following up in a timely manner to close sales
- Consistently meet and exceed KPIs, including follow-up calls and revenue goals
- Participate in weekly Group Sales meetings and contribute to team goals
- Support the site before and during events, assisting with logistics and running podium ceremonies when needed
- Network and promote K1 Speed Events with potential customers and local businesses
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Skills and/or Qualifications
- 1-2 years of outbound/inbound sales experience (highly transactional experience is a plus)
- Self-confident with strong product knowledge and client relationship management skills
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Stay calm, positive, and driven under pressure
- Team player, working collaboratively towards common goals
- Call center experience is a plus
- Experience with CRM or lead management platforms is a plus
- Must be coachable and open to feedback
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- 2+ years of customer service experience (required)
- 1+ year of call center experience (required)
- 1+ year of sales experience (preferred)
- 1+ year of front-of-house restaurant experience (preferred)
- 1+ year of events management experience (preferred)
- Smart Service certificate is an asset
