Job Details:
Fresh Start Recovery Centre - Calgary has an opening for a Facility Maintenance Worker. The Facility Maintenance Worker will be responsible for preventative and ongoing maintenance and repairs of all aspects of the facility and grounds. Assess work needing to be completed and provide maintenance options and solutions to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Worker should be mature, knowledgeable, and experienced. It would benefit from having experience in recovery and having a working knowledge of the disease concept and 12-step programming.
Qualifications:
· Experience in various carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical and other building maintenance work. Must possess a variety of skills encompassing most of the construction trades.

- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs across residential and commercial properties
- Troubleshoot issues involving appliances, plumbing fixtures, drywall patching/painting, and general building components
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers when specialized work is required
- Respond to service requests and provide professional clints support
- Identify practical solutions to maintenance issues before escalating to suppliers or contractors
- Support overall building upkeep and operational needs, assist in monitoring clients' chores and housekeeping
Qualifications
- Previous handyman, building maintenance, or general repair experience
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Comfortable troubleshooting minor mechanical or building issues independently
- Experience coordinating or supervising contractors considered an asset
- Mature, dependable, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Basic computer skills are required for daily use of the Facilities system.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
