Are you mechanically inclined, enjoy working outdoors, and want to build a long-term career with opportunities for apprenticeship and advancement? We are looking for a motivated Pump Installer Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, operating equipment, and working in a variety of environments. You'll work alongside experienced professionals installing, repairing, and maintaining water systems while developing valuable skills that can lead to future apprenticeship opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water well pumps and water system equipment.
- Support the servicing and maintenance of water treatment systems.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
- Operate and maintain service trucks, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with repairs in the field.
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
- Complete physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
- Travel to project sites throughout British Columbia and Alberta as required.
- Assist with occasional weekend work when project schedules require.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment, machinery, and troubleshooting.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Ability to perform physical labour and lift heavy materials.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel throughout BC and Alberta.
Assets (Not Required)
- First Aid Certification.
- Ground Disturbance Certification.
- Equipment operation experience.
- Construction, mechanical, plumbing, or water systems experience.
- Any related trade certifications or apprenticeship experience.
