Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrator to join our team in a dynamic dental office environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and administrative functions as well as booking hygiene/recalls. This position requires proficiency in various office management tasks, including handling electronic medical records, managing phone systems, managing re care and using Max assist to book the schedule and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Duties
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering phone calls with professionalism.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently while ensuring accurate collection of patient/family portions and including reappointing the next visit.
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.
- Assist in billing processes and insurance verification as needed.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and patient flow within the office.
- Provide administrative support by managing correspondence, filing, and other office tasks as required.
- Utilizing Dentrix and Max assist to book, manage re care for all the patients
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of previous dental administration experience required.
- Ability to work as a team player and help when needed (example: lunch breaks) and communicate with all team members efficiently and effectively.
- Familiarity with Dentrix/Max assist other dental practice management software is highly desirable.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including phone systems and computers.
- Proficiency in managing electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
