The Aircraft Maintenance Manager plays a key role within the organization, significantly impacting business performance, customer satisfaction, and the company's competitiveness.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Aircraft Maintenance Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating all planning and operational activities for their team to ensure production, safety, quality, schedule, and cost-reduction targets are achieved.
- Manage employee performance and productivity while meeting operational priorities and objectives.
- Ensure the organization and structure of the department are aligned with operational requirements.
- Develop and implement standardized practices and procedures to support the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Conduct biannual employee performance evaluations and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Complete probationary evaluations within the prescribed timeframe and follow up as required.
- Develop action plans aimed at maximizing standardized efficiency within the department and optimizing resource utilization.
- Ensure operational objectives are achieved, including on-time delivery, productivity, quality, and other key performance indicators.
- Conduct daily shop floor walkthroughs to ensure visibility, oversight, and operational control.
- Supervise shift changeovers and handoffs.
- Present departmental productivity reports and performance results.
- Implement processes and tools that foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
- Promote the prevention of health and safety incidents by actively encouraging safe work practices and appropriate behaviors, including participation in health and safety management initiatives and the implementation of 6S principles.
- Take full responsibility for all human resources management activities for team members, including performance management, training, work schedules, health and safety, disciplinary matters, performance evaluations, recruitment strategies, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and maximize the performance of team members.
- Develop employee versatility and competencies.
- Design and implement talent development and succession planning strategies for the department in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Lead organizational change initiatives.
Day Shift
- Monday to Thursday
- 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
