Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Carpenter / Labourer to join our construction team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and ready to contribute to a dynamic work environment. No prior extensive experience is required, but familiarity with basic tools and a strong work ethic are essential. This role involves assisting with diverse construction tasks, supporting skilled tradespeople, and contributing to the successful completion of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, and finishing tasks under supervision
- Support with concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed
- Help with cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and siding projects
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assist in project execution
- Perform general site cleanup and material organization to maintain a safe work environment
- Support roofing, caulking, painting, and restoration tasks during various phases of construction
- Assist with plumbing and electrical work under guidance from licensed professionals
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to support project requirements
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure workplace for all team members
Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques; prior construction or handyman experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or schematics is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills such as CNC machining or construction estimating
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior experience in carpentry, woodworking, masonry, roofing, or related trades is beneficial but not required.
- Access to vehicle for daily personal use
